i hade allot of fun drawing this Dragon
i could have made it more realistic but i think if i did try that, i will end up in two conclusion: One this image would blow you away with awesomeness,
or two get really crapy and wrong.

the dragon looks very reptilian in a majestic way. I absolutely love the texture of the hide and the appearance of the muscle. Indeed the skin looks very thick and tough as one would expect on a dragon or similiar creature. And the muscle is beyond belief with its realistic curves and strength that I can clearly see, esspecially in the lower jaw. This magnificent beast has truly been brought to life by an amazing artist. The overall effect of the whole image seems almost real. The dragon is brought to life before my eyes by the smooth skin texture, strong muscle and the eyes. The eyes strike me the most and make it look very alive. A look of anger, yet beauty and intelligence, definitly a lot of intelligence, lye beyond those gleaming yellow eyes. I was really impressed with the sight this peice gave me and feel as though critiquing isn't enough. I almost feel the urge to have this up on my bedroom wall as a poster or something greater, truly a masterpeice. Id also like to mention that I just love how sleek and feirce the dragon looks by giving it a sharp angular head that kinda tapers. I really love the smoke coming from this creature's nostrils, adding to the mood of its anger. The flames, although not as realistic as they can be, are well constructed and I love the motion. The flames seem to sweep in one direction, towards the dragon, and they seem to be burning rapidly. I can just feel the rage in this image and this peice is amazing the way it is, for the lack of a better word, because I can easily imagine the noise of the flames as it burns the dragon. The ferocious snarling that comes from the dragons throat and even a slight sond of background music. That's how I know when a peice is done expertly with few mistakes.
Hwever, one mistake I want to point out is the drool and the gums.
The drool seems to just be everywhere in the mouth and doesn't seem to look right in a few places. I think it would look better dripping from teeth and tongue, since most of the salivation comes from the tongue or lips. And the gums in front of the dragon jaw. I think it would've looked better if the skin came farther up but that's my opinion. The gum looks very vulnerable there.
Overall, this peice is so well done, it needs no words to describe it.
I'm giving five in half stars for vision since it was just beautiful all way round but had some minor flaws.
Originality two in a half since I feel I have seen burning creatures before.
Technique is tfour star since I've seen similiar programs but the construction of the whole image is amazing and realistic unlike most images I see
This had a big impact on my vision and I can just stare at it forever. However, the monochromatic, is that the word, color scheme can give you a lot to look at and may be confusing at first. Simply put, the veiwer could easily overpass a detail, such as drool. So that's why its four in a half stars
The fire and the composition look good two. Cool design.
This little text was to short to be a critique so I just make a comment instead. ^_^
Awesome dragon you got there! reminds me a bit of angelus from Drakengard.
Keep it up! cheers
the lighting on this is absolutely stunning the bright fire below and the blue grey light from above it's lovely <3
